Jessie Brogan- the artist "inside" Sylvan Hare Arts

Hello, and warmest welcome to a little world I`ve made in a website, a rather ethereal place to host all of you who I may never get to meet in my home studio in the West of Ireland. Here you will find odd little "Galleries" haunted- in a nice way- by fey wildlings please do wander through and take a peep at these animals painted on wood and also vision inspired paintings which Sylvan Hare Arts has become known for.

You can use these links to follow the Sylvan Hare to Facebook and Etsy to keep up to the minute with what is creatively afoot and available to buy. If you develop an overwhelming urge to commission a very personal and unique painting from Vision or creature on wood then you are most welcome to send me an "owl letter" or maybe a" howl" letter as wolves wait on my Contact page.

And as I`m a storyteller at heart, a tale or two may tumble from time to time onto my Blog- Fire from the "Divil`s" Chimney, for you to find! But for now, make yourself at home and have a wander through these pages -and as they say in Ireland, "Sure- why wouldn`t ye!"

Location of the Sylvan Hare Arts Studio       (how to find it following the fabled "Irish directions")

With my  poet-artist husband Brian Brogan and our "torment" of rescue cats, I have been sailing for quite some time now, around the west of Ireland in an egg shell pulled by two tiny faery horses called Dream and Vision. We have settled down for periods of seven faery years for each one or two human years for the last eight years in many and varied breath takingly beautiful sea kissed counties of Ireland! Did you understand that? Very good, you might be Irish- and you`ve done better than me! We currently reside in The Faery Acre behind The Devils Chimney. It is a warm and surprisingly peaceful place. Our quiet home has no roof and only two "real" walls, the rest is all "made up" so roses bloom all year round the garden gate. It is invisible, but always open to the little groups of wanderers who sometimes find their way leads here, to see the art and be regaled with tales and hot cups of tea!.
